Hey there!

I’m Roelof Sol, a software engineer in Eindhoven. I like building systems that are small enough to reason about and powerful enough to give people more control over their digital lives.

My main long-running project is Lace: digital sovereignty infrastructure for making data, trust, identity, and authority portable instead of trapping them inside one app, server, or platform.

I also keep a small blog here with technical notes, design thoughts, game-dev experiments, and short observations that felt worth sharing.

Mostly I enjoy building cool things that make computers feel a little more humane, understandable, and useful.
